End-of-life decisions can feel overwhelming. This website was created to help people in Canada find clear, practical, and compassionate information about end-of-life care, Advance Care Planning, and medical assistance in dying (MAID).

Whether you are planning ahead, supporting a loved one, facing a serious illness, or simply trying to better understand your options, this resource is designed to help you navigate difficult conversations and make informed decisions with greater confidence, clarity and peace of mind.

Alongside educational resources and practical tools, the site also shares stories and perspectives from people with lived experience navigating end-of-life care and MAID.

Why We Created This Website

This website was developed in response to what people across Canada said they needed.

A 2026 survey conducted by Environics Research for Dying With Dignity Canada found that many families are unprepared for end-of-life conversations. The findings also suggested that important discussions are often delayed or avoided altogether, leaving people feeling uncertain during times of illness or crisis.

The research further showed that many individuals would look to a trusted not-for-profit organization for information about MAID and end-of-life planning.

This website was created to help meet those needs by offering clear, accessible educational materials, practical guides, personal stories, interactive tools, and links to additional support.
